I loved this movie so much I just went to see it again with my brother. Honestly? It's fabulous. I mean, Scott is kind of a douchey character at times. In terms of how he is with women, and in particular Knives, but the movie overall is such fun and if you love video games, especially old console games from NES, SNES, Genesis era you'll find a lot to love about this film. Anyway. It's totally happy and fun and charming and go see it if you have nerd tendencies. My brother was reluctant due to it being tagged as a romance or romantic comedy for audiences but he loved it.
And that's saying a lot about how good this movie is considering how the only thing he does these days is study for the bar exam and play World of Warcraft.

Having seen it, now, I start to notice the bizarre holes... Is Scott a Marty Stu? I know, he's a jackass, but he makes it through six fights without that huge spoiler at the final fight... but those of us who play games will be yelling at the screen, going, "Hey! He has *spoiler*! He shouldn't be *spoiler*!" For everyone else, it's time for the Deus Ex Machina... so, it's only a surprise to those who aren't into the video games and comics...
Otherwise, fantastic movie.
