I had a really shitty day at work yesterday and I'm the type of person when something bad happens I rewind it over and over and over again in my head until I drive myself a bit crazy and a lot miserable. Wanting to stop this cycle I decided to watch some of the myriad of 80's movies I've bought for cheap over the past month to cheer me up.

Seriously, friendslist, I love me some 80's movies. Pretty much all of them in fact. Here's a rundown of some of my favorites:

Labyrinth, Sixteen Candles, Heathers, Goonies, Cloak & Dagger, Flight of the Navigator, Just One Of The Guys, Flashdance, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Space Camp, Adventures In Babysitting, Mad Max Beyond The Thunderdome, Krull, Christine, The Neverending Story, Muppets Take Manhattan, The Running Man, Heavenly Kid, Amazon Women On The Moon, Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo, Jumping Jack Flash, Last Starfighter, Weird Science, Princess Bride...

I could go on and on. So what about you? What are your favorite 80's movies? I bet I've seen them and if I haven't, hey, something new for me to watch!

I see your Labyrinth, Heathers, and Just One of the Guys, and raise you...

Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Little Shop of Horrors, Clue, Night of the Creeps, Flowers in the Attic, Overboard, The Witches of Eastwick, Beetlejuice, Night of the Demons, Pumpkinhead, She-Devil, Willow (which I haven't seen in YEARS D= ), Night of the Comet, Castle in the Sky (which I didn't see until several years ago but wow, it's great), Vampire Hunter D, Project A-ko, and I'm slightly obsessed with Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 (I love the whole Hellraiser series though).

=D Ooo, that was fun remembering all of my old faves. <3

I love Clue! (See icon.) Did you know they're remaking it? Blasphemy. They should just rerelease it in movie theaters. I would so go see it. I own Night of the Comet on dvd and it's gotten strangely boring over the years somehow.

Legend of Billie Jean! I forgot to list that. It won't come out on dvd though since the master copy was destroyed in a fire. You only can find VHS tapes that are either in ghetto condition or are jacked up prices starting at $150. =(

Love your icon! Eep! And I know about the remake. Well, just found out about it recently. I'm sorta iffy about it. Dunno if it's possible to recreate the brilliant characters from the original with different people. =\

*gasp* Oh my god, I'm so ashamed of myself. How could I forget that movie!? I LOVE that movie! >.> That's why it won't ever be release on dvd? ._. I didn't know that about the fire. ^_^ I have it on VHS though. My mom recorded it off HBO years ago. <3
