Formatting Fuck Ups

I went to l-word.com to peruse for various fics for http://www.aliceschart.net and ended up on my own page after around three hours of searching. My god, how they have fucked up the format on some of my chapters. It's really bad shit folks. Here's an example:

"Hey
Missy," drawled Alice, poking Dana in the side and walking ahead of
her. "Are you forgetting about my promotion? I'm getting the big time
public radio bucks. Buying airplane tickets to Oakland is just the
start of showing off how much bling I now possess."

Almost every paragraph in that chapter and a few others start that way. Suck ass! I almost want to just fucking delete all of stories there but I'm too lazy. One thing is for sure though. When I finish ATWH Part 4 and 5 I won't be posting them there. I really can't stand that site and the shitty formatting and just how it's turned into this weird Borg like all encompassing lesbian fandom site which absorbs all fucking new forms of dyke fandom and tries to exclusively claim them as their own. Getting all outraged at other mentions of fansites to challenge them. You bitches cannot exclusively have South of Nowhere like you do L Word! I consider it fucking evil if you do attempt that and I don't even like South of Nowhere that much! Of course, I should attempt to battle it with my own puny review site focused on dyke fandom whenever I finally get that running. Still not sure what I want to name that site though. The Nerdiest Girl? Fuckable Fandoms? Lamest Lesbian? Bwahaha. I like that last title. Mostly because I love the word lame and I think it describes me.

Anyway, I still ponder over an appropriate name for a site. It semi-torments me. Almost as much as how fucking slowly ATWH Part 4 is going. Ye gods, it is going fucking slow like molasses. I think once I get more sleep I'll work on it today.

ETA: I remain stout in my belief that the incredibly tall and tanned Kate Ryan from Belgium not making it to the Eurovision Finals was a fucking travesty. I feel compelled to share her performance at the Semifinals to perhaps show why. I'm not sure why it continues to somewhat irk me considering how fucking happy I am that Finland won but there you go. Hopefully Kate will be back next year. And just to say it, my fucking god, her legs seem endless in that dress.

It took me a long time to correct the stories I sent to you and sulk, so I know what you are talking about. I have two writers who say they are thinking about sending you their work, and I know one Dana/Danish writer I thought about asking but her work is more Dana centered is that OK?

I too am thinking about deleting some of my stories on that site, but I need to copy them first, so I haven't done it either so I guess I'm suffering from a big case of the lazies also.

I think more and more writers are realizing the screw-ups, and this makes it very time consuming sending any work to you that they didn't save on their computer.

The L-word site sucks as you put it with all their constant changing of formatting. Later, Deb

As long as it has Danish it's fine that it's Dana centered. I don't expect all Danish stories on the site to be told from Alice's point of view. Hmm. I wonder if more stories are told through Alice or Dana's eyes for that ship? I've never noticed a huge difference when it comes to that.

I have been listening to the extended dance version of Je T´Adore non-stop this weekend. And I swear, had they used that bell sound in the actual song, she would not only have made it to the final but she would also have won it. Not that I am not THRILLED about Lordi. I just got into work and I have already come up with two excuses to call customers in Finland to gush about how wonderful it is that they will be hosting next year's event!

That and I love ice-hockey. This weekend was great.

Just when I thought I had reached maximum love for Ms. Night, she proves me wrong. Her accusations that Carola only made it to the final by sleeping with the president of EBU and that Siliva had seen them "do it" in a car outside of the hotel, were all over the news here on Friday. It was awesome until she took the accusations back and said that she regretted making it up when people started to take it seriously. Siliva should appear every year!)

I've already seen that and her press conference. What cracks me up is the reason Silvia did so badly is people in Greece apparently didn't get the fucking message that she's a FICTIONAL CHARACTER played by a comedic actress and everything she does is a JOKE focused on mocking the behavior of stuck up celebrities in our culture. That's why her "meltdown" when she doesn't make it to the finals is so fucking brilliant and her press conference as well where she tells a reporter not to look her in the eye despite wearing huge ass sunglasses which totally prevent that from happening.

Ahhhh, Silvia. I wish I could watch your tv show. Eva is a fucking brilliant actress.

I am like, surrounded by Eurovision. My comic book review column that I read is done by a Sarcastic Scottish Lawyer, and for like, almost five years nonstop he has been providing me with comic book reviews. This week, I open my email, and what do I find but youtube links to Finland and Lithuania from my comic book guy.

... and of course, I watched them. The Finland guy's hat is what really makes it for me. And the wings. God.

You're right. Yesterday I was posting up a fic of mine on L-word, AND I had to repost 3 times! I think I forgot to click the "rating"'s tab, and when you click "back", ALL IS LOST. So that means I've to retype my comments over and over again.

When I returned to my earlier stories, I realised to my horror! The site ate my punctuation marks! Do you face this problem too? BLEAH. I think it was really hungry or something, but the lack of punctuation marks make my story impossible to read. Now you can't even post up your own site on the fic because it's monopolising the entire thing. If you set up a good fanfic site, I'm going to support!

Sorry for that rant, I was just frustrated.

Don't stop posting your fics though, you're a good writer and I really enjoyed your fics :P Can't wait for Eppy 4 of ATWH. :D
