I've been neglectful in posting videos of All My Children because... erhm... I don't know. I just have. I guess I figured people didn't really care or need them anymore then I realized it's convenient for me and my god, meeeee. So I'm posting with Bianca and Reese clips from January 15 -19.

However, I won't be talking about the scenes from the show but going on yet another fandom based rant that I swear to almighty Jeebus isn't about specific people but just crap I always see happening in fandom that bums me out and makes me move onto other things.



I get people in fandom like to ship couples. I love to ship couples. sulkygeek even likes to claim I named the ship for Helena and Alice on The L Word which is Helacious. I still think it was something we both came up at during ungodly late at night Yahoo chat. Anyway! I get the need to ship couples. It's fun and it's a part of fandom and I do it too or I wouldn't write romantic fanfic for certain couples.

However, the one thing I hate is when people go insane over their ships to the point that they feel compelled to bash periphery characters who really don't deserve it. That's why I never liked BAM or Tibette as a ship because their shippers were so rabid they tended to bash on characters who they perceived as interfering with their beloved couple to the point they were just... well, sort of crazy and mean. I didn't like that at all.

Now that exact same thing is happening with All My Children fans for Bianca and Reese. They've got a huge hate on for Zach because he's too close to Reese and all the spoilers obviously produced to create controversy hint at them romantically hooking up. Look, I don't like that weird romantic hints they're doing with them either but do I hate Zach for it? No. I just dislike that people seem to be taking every fucking chance whenever they post to bash Zach. I mean, I was just in a thread about casting for Reese's mother, who is an actress I actually know, Laila Robins, and they felt compelled to bash him there too.

BTW, for those interested, I know her from the movie Live Nude Girls which is quite entertaining with Dana Delaney, Kim Cattrall, and Olivia d'Abo. It has lesbians and a slumber party. Fun! The title is misleading though. There is a severe lack of nudity.

To get back onto rant topic, I just think this behavior is stupid. People bitch about how Reese is treated on regular AMC boards by Zendall fans and the more mainstream soap opera watching public and then they go ahead and treat Zach the same way Reese is being treated. Hello? Hypocritical much? I'm not fond of him because he gives me an eerie Sonny from General Hospital vibe and I will not have my beloved All My Children going down that same shite path despite my Tamara love. Does this mean I interject Zach sucks! He's evil! into everything I say? Noooo. Fucking be balanced.

Crazy ass fandom. Why am I still in it? Oh yeah, because I am a nerd. As always, watch the videos top to bottom for chronological viewing order.

At the risk of having heavy objects thrown at my soft head I'm gonna state, I Love Zach! Yes, I dislike what the writers are doing to Breese and Zendall by putting the two characters in compromising positions but Hello? People, come on it's a soap, of course they are going to create conflict, if it was smooth sailing every day week after week a ton of people would be out of work and I would be forced to watch the eight billion t.v. court shows that seem to multiply like horny rabbits. How's that for a non-sensical rant?

BTW, I love that you post the clips, even though I have a dvd recorder and record the eps, it's totally easier to just click on youtube and get right to the good parts.

I waver on Zach. I loved him when he first showed up but he seems to be getting more and more of a gangster edge to him rather than tortured business man with a past like he used to have and it bugs me. Mostly because I'm paranoid about him leading AMC down the same GH path that Sonny did with his mobster popularity.

Otherwise, I like him with Kendall but they have gotten boring to me over the past year or so that's why I'm almost glad for the fucked up Reese and Gabrielle storyline with them, just to interject some new life into them as a couple.

JR remains my soap bf though. lol. I love him best out of all the guys for some reason.

I love Pete! He's the cutest nerd. I wish he would get a legit girl who is into him so Colby would see what she's missing.

Ok - I know that Erica is a living legend, but I LOVE that they had to put Bianca in the background for the tears. It was almost as if the director said "OK Susan, here are your lines and Eden - you act it out behind her!

That's hilarious and so true! Eden totally brought the sobs to cover for La Lucci.

I liked Zach when he first came on the show, too, but like Dreiser I fear that he's becoming nothing more than Corleone-lite. And I really enjoyed Monday's ep, as I posted over at the Breese board. I don't think there's anything romantic between Zach and Reese but there's so much anviling going on, something has to drop.

Yay for Laila Robins who is sexy cool.
