Rollergirl Names

So I'm working on the sequel to a sequel for my little Whip It fanfic series and I'm having to add two original characters for the purpose of plot. Well, technically three but only two are rollergirls. I've got a solidified name for one character but the other I'm torn between two choices. So lets have a little voting, shall we?

ETA: This poll is cracking me up. I didn't think so many people would vote but it makes me happy they are. Anyway. I'll probably have the fic done by Saturday so I think we should hopefully have a decisive victor by then.

Malice in Wonderland, eh? Now, I wonder if you might have read the book. . . . ;) (I like Maven so much better than Dinah Mite. . . not that it's hard!) (Also, mind if I friend you?)

Haven't read it yet but I did discover some of the original names and Malice In Wonderland is so much better than Maggie Mayhem so I wanted to possibly use it. Although I do love Tinkerhell. Friend away but just to warn you, I'll friend back.

The book has it's adorable moments - I bought it for fic inspiration (I am so sad. . .) but it's quite different to the movie. Bliss is more selfish, Dinah (Maven) is a nasty bitch as opposed to an honest one, and Malice (Maggie) is more like Smashley! But it's still kinda cute.

I warn you that I almost never post though ;)

There always seems to be a noticeable difference from books and the movies based on them, isn't there? At least the Whip It screenplay was written by the same person. Hearing that did please me. I'll eventually get around to reading it but I doubt I'll move from the movie fandom since my favorite thing is Juliette's portrayal of Maven who is lovable despite her bitchy exterior.

The potential Malice/Tinkerhell in my fic is just an original character I created for plot purpose. She has nothing to do with canon. I wonder now if using that name is even a good idea since it could confuse book and movie canon. Huh.

Eh, I don't think it would be that confusing. You could put in an author note that it's not the Malice from the book if you think the few people who've readthe book would be confused. (With your love of Smashley, I suspect you would adore Malice. At one point she is sitting in her car, wearing a neon robe, eating stale Cheetos, and drinking out of a chipped mug with 'World's Greatest Grandad' on it. She is love.)

That's awesome. lol. I suspect I would love her. I'd just go with Tinkerhell but Malice is winning the poll by a fairly large amount at this point. I'll just add an author's note, like you said.
