X-Men has been my favorite superhero team since I was a kid despite my massive fangirl love for Captain America and Beast defecting temporarily I love them more than even The Avengers.
I think the X-Men appeal to almost all superhero fans because everyone can relate to the feeling of being an outsider or being different. It's especially easy to relate to the X-Men since they're mutants and what makes them different is their genetics which they can't exactly change. Of course, as much as I enjoy being a big ole lesbian, dude, it would be sweet to have some bad ass mutant powers. Maybe kick ass teleportation like Blink. As much as I love Kurt I'm not digging the stinky and short range trips he has.
Anyway! In the early nineties there was a kick ass X-Men cartoon series released by Disney and it's coming out on dvd April 29, 2009 in two volumes with two discs for each volume. The title of the dvds are X-Men: Attack Of The Mutants and I'm soooo looking forward to this. The cartoon wasn't the best in terms of animation but they did a nice job with the characters and it was fairly accurate despite being played on Saturday mornings.
Plus Rogue and Storm were total love in this cartoon version. They were such an OTP it was hilarious.
