Honestly, she does. Tamara Braun is a really good crier. Not a skill to be underestimated in the world of soaps. I'm actually going to link and babble about things not All My Children related and it might get long and thus...
I liked this episode tons for the drama and the pretty crying and the massive Reese back story reveal. Although it totally puts my fic wrong in the way of canon which annoys me but what can I do? I'm not going to go back and rewrite everything I've done so far even though it does bug me. I'll just use what I can from the canon and incorporate it into the current plot for the fic. Still! Angers me. I wish they'd reveal the name of Reese's mom so I can use it in my fic because she's going to show up sooner or later and I rather not make something up and be wrong.
Whatever though.
I don't have much to say about this episode. It was good. I was pleased that they actually kissed at the end of their massive apology session and Bianca was the one who initiated it. Although she's been proven to be a topper in the relationship thus far. I really can't wait for the Erica and Reese confrontation later this week.
Bianca's insecurity, while understandable since she's been systematically screwed over since her return to the show with the Eden Riegel casting, is getting pretty old. Soaps tend to do that though. Pound something over and over and over into the viewers until you want to scream at the screen that omg you get it and fucking stop already! lol. I don't have clips because I rather not bother but I want to reinforce that I love JR and he isn't on the screen enough for me. Him punching drunken Jake was great. I dunno why I love him so much but I always have.
Clips away. Watch top to bottom.
One of my helpful European friends has given me a link to Silvia Night's album Goldmine which I am sharing with you because Silvia rules and is one of my favorite things to come out of my Eurovision obsession.
If you don't know who she is then I'll give a short synopses. Basically Silvia Night is a character created and played by Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir who has her own comedy show in Iceland where she interviews celebrities and is basically a spoiled brat asshole. She's meant to be an over the top parody of celebrity culture.
In 2006 she won by an overwhelming amount to be the Icelandic entry to Eurovision. Here's her entry song:
Once at Eurovision she caused all kinds of chaos, mostly because people didn't fucking bother to find out she was a fictional character and her actions were meant as a joke. They took all her antics seriously and the Greek press spazzed over her being such a spoiled brat. Here's an example of them just not getting the joke:
Hee! I find it awesome that the press followed her around after she didn't make it past the semi-finals into the main Eurovision performance. I especially love how she hangs off the bridge and threatens to jump. It still pains me that Europe was too lame to get the awesomeness that is Silvia Night.
Ah well. Iceland still rules.

It would have been much more difficult to justify not mentionning Simon if he was still in the picture when she met Bianca. Although potentially more angst and drama when it's revealed, and that can be a good thing.
I'm kind of amazed at how right the writing is in the confrontation scene. Too bad it's not always that way.
I remember Eurovision being a very bubble gum event that felt like it was controlled by the music business trying to manufacture new *stars*. Doesn't exactly seem like the best venue for someone already semi famous who's an original.
