I love, love, love, love Joan Jett. I've seen her five times in concert and have gotten close enough to the stage to touch her but I never did because that's slightly creepy. Well, more than slightly, but anyway. Much love for Joan.

From the start, I wasn't too sure about the The Runaways biopic because of the casting of Kristen Stewart as Joan but the more I see of the movie the more I get excited about it. The problem is, I can already picture myself seeing it and wanting to ship Joan with Cherie and that is problematic in the fact that okay... it's a movie but these are real people the movie is based on. One of which I've seen live in concert several times and love to death and you know, your kink is not my kink and fandom peace and love and all, but RPS squicks me out majorly and thus the idea I could possibly want to write fanfic based on real people (despite them being from a movie) is making my brain scramble like it's an egg on drugs and hello 80s PSA.

I'm so torn you guys. lol. At least I can take comfort in my Joan love or something. Also, Lita Ford. I love me some Lita Ford. Although I've only seen her twice live. But Lita rocks equally hard.

Yeah I know what you mean about RPF's, it used to really creep me out up until about a month ago when I totally fell in love with Lea and Dianna from the tv show Glee, but so far I can only bring myself to write a PG rated fic about them.

You've seen Joan Jett in concert, I am so jealous!!! I'm on the fence about whether or not I'll see the movie because Kristen Steward just annoys the hell out of me and after sitting through that painful excuse for a film that was Twilight, I refuse to willingly subject myself to anything she's starring in.

But if you decide to write it I will definitely read, I love your fics, I plan to read the Whip It stories later this week!

Joan is fantabulous live and is just too pretty for words. lol. I crush on her madly. I'm so seeing this movie when it comes out and I have high hopes for KStew being able to... you know, use vocal inflections, as everything she says in Twilight seemed to come out in the same deadpan tone, imho.

I've also been wondering about the shipping problems this movie can cause. It's sad because I bet the movie is gonna make people want to write. I appreciate my RPF squick for existing but it can be quite annoying at times.

Can't wait to see the movie though.

Seriously! And it's not like I can pretend Joan isn't a real person. lol. I've seen her too many times in concert for that. It's just weird. I dunno. I just hope the movie is good or I'll be a sad panda.

I know the feeling - I read the occasional RPS fic when I'm not familiar with the people in question, and have been guilty of the odd one in the past, but. . . yeah.

I'm not judgemental on them. I mean, write and read whatever you like, I just don't think I'd ever be comfortable writing or reading one myself. I just know if this movie is good I'll end up fangirling. lol. I can tell it already because my Joan love is that strong.
