You know what I didn't need after a long day at work? Coming out to my car and having a pamphlet on the ex-gay movement pushed into my door by people who saw my rainbow pride window sticker and decided I needed to be educated about how to use the lord and savior Jesus Christ to magically make myself not a lesbian anymore.

Whoever left that pamphlet? I hope my gigantic "fuck you" is somehow psychically transmitted to your thoughts you bigoted douche. Maybe I'll get lucky and Jesus will do it.

This is a nifty idea, imho. Although I get why some people wouldn't want to answer it. Government in their sex life and all that but isn't the government already in it by states outlawing gay marriage? I dunno. I can see both sides of it, I suppose.

I love it when homophobic politicians are outed as having gay sex and by love I mean I consider them lame ass fucktards.

In other weird news, my friend Ryan thinks his daughter can see ghosts because she keeps talking about speaking to sheep who are in pieces and some dude named Jorge who I say killed the sheep.

For the first time today I had an actual person seriously speak to me about the "homosexual agenda" as if it was a legitimate worry of theirs. I stared at them, brain broken temporarily, before I managed to reply that I was part of said agenda.

The conversation quickly ended.

Recently changed their rules so now only GLBT authors can enter to win their award. It's causing a shitstorm of wank amongst the privileged straight masses about how they're being discriminated by the mean gays who want to have this tiny little literary award for their own writers. From my tone you can guess what side I'm on.

I get some people feeling the rules should stay the same because it used to be whoever wrote the best story featuring GLBT characters and themes won the award. Didn't matter your sexuality. Now the award is exclusive for writers who are GLBT. Change sucks but really, I don't get all the massive "we're being persecuted" crap from mostly straight women who write horribly cliche bodice ripper m/m romance.

ETA: Being straight and writing gay men doing it doesn't make you an honorary gay who can speak with all knowing authority on gay people. You're fetishizing them. That's not being a fabulous supporter of GLBT rights.
