How long has Star Trek Voyager been off the air? I don't know. I love it always and I get on these streaks where I rewatch it and I've been doing random episodes instead of going logically through the seasons episode by episode like usual. I might do that later though.

Anywayyyy, one of my few OTP's in fandom has to be Janeway/Seven. I love them as a couple. Usually I don't go for May/December romances but they're pretty much perfect together and Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan are just too fucking fantastic with the chemistry together. It also helps that Janeway, hands down, is my favorite Star Trek Captain.

On that note, here's a link to a hilarious J7 ala Scott Pilgrim comic strip for the fun of it and some random J7 gifs.

The last one isn't J7 just Janeway being adorable. As if that's just anything though. Janeway! So much love forever. I crush on your voice until the end of days.

I have it around here somewhere. But, no, really... I'm totally reading a ton of Anakin/Padme fanfic because Spike TV had the prequel trilogy on today and even though Hayden can't act his way out of a bag and Natalie wasn't really trying I ship them hardcore. Anyyyyyway. My shipping and fandom nerdiness aside, Merry Christmas everybody!

Here's an appropriate comic strip for all us fandom folks (especially Star Trek) courtesy of a link from [ profile] oneiric22 in one of our aimless chats. I think I'm getting a lot of Star Wars loot for the holidays though. Katie hinted at it and so did Jake and Laura. Wheee! The Force is so with me.

Is my favorite of all the Star Trek tv shows because of Kate Mulgrew being made of awesome as Captain Janeway followed close in second by the Lost In Space concept behind the show and followed third by Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine who is unintentionally the funniest character on the show at times. I just started rewatching the entire series yet again because I'm sad that way.

The result is a deluge of Star Trek Voyager icons. I'm going to have so many by the time I'm through watching it but honestly, I can probably never have enough. lol. I've always wanted to write J/7 fanfic post Endgame and I've got a few ideas but honestly, I've got so many ideas for fics in tons of fandoms I never get to. I would like to write one for Voyager though, just because it is my favorite Star Trek series and Captain Janeway is my favorite captain.

I think most everyone on my friendslist loves the new Star Trek movie and that being so, I thought maybe they might appreciate a few songs from my favorite Star Trek tribute band, Warp 11, who are just made of so much win. If you like the songs I give you then I encourage you to buy their cds because really, everything they do is fucking awesome.

Yet another reason why I love The Onion. I'm going to see the movie tomorrow at seven o'clock and I'm already bouncing around in nerdy excitement. Oh the sheer pretty of Karl Urban as Bones! I cannot wait.

My favorite thing has to be the little box which reads: Film blasted as accessible to those who don't even know what pon farr is. Hee. You know, I'm proving my nerdiness by attending the viewing wearing my Red Shirt t-shirt.

Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'

This movie makes me squee the more and more I see and hear about it. I wouldn't call myself a hardcore Trekkie but I do love all the various television incarnations by different degrees. My absolute favorite being Voyager but this project excites me because if it's done as well as it looks it could be a genuine revitalization of this universe and in a modern sophisticated way that could bring in people who wouldn't call themselves Star Trek fans under usual circumstances. Sort of like how the kick ass comic book movies bring in the non-comic book nerds these days.

And thank god, they finally showed Kirk being his mack daddy pimp self. He's in bed with an Orion in the clip. That's the original space cowboy we all know and love! lol.
