WB Shop is having a major sale on its dvds and after years of meaning to I've finally gotten the complete series for Babylon 5 (including the tv movies) for $72 which is sixty dollars cheaper than anywhere else.

Bruce Boxleitner, how I love you so. lol. Can't wait to watch it again.

I love that Katie indulges/shares my curiousity of oddities. Also that she's up for playing whatever weird game is created out of the ether. Was recently reminded of the hilariousness that is Hatoful Boyfriend and the drama that is pigeon love. Mac version doesn't work that well so I got Katie to download the game onto her laptop. It's seriously cracking me up.

I think we have to go for Sakuya. Got to dig that fanned tail. Then again, knowing my experience with Katie playing Choice of Games: Romance we'll probably end up arguing over our pigeon romantic interest. Is it sad I find this stuff fun to do with my gf? Whatever. I should find other dating sims to play with her.

Anywayyyy, ~Sakuya~, of the fanned tail. Dreamy. rofl.

Just got back from Wisconsin with Katie. Had a great time with her enormous family during Christmas. During our drive back I played around on my laptop and found this choose your own adventure type game that Katie and I played. It's called Choice of Games: Romance and the sequel is Choice of Games: Intrigue. It's basically like... magic/adventure/Harlequin choose your own adventure in Spanish court type of thing.

Katie and I had a blast playing it on the way home. Although we kept bickering about which suitor to choose. She was all about the Queen and I sort of liked de Mendosa. Anyway! If you like romances as much as I do it's a fun game to play.

I'll be there this weekend doing many nerdy fun things involving friends, booze, and sci-fi type stuff. There's going to be a panel on b-movies and such and I'm super excited for that. Anywayyyy, if you're from the STL/IL area and are going to be there then drop me a line. I plan on having a blast at the room parties and being amused while watching live action Quidditch.

Dudeeeee. As much as I loved Tobey in the role (until Spiderman 3 which was horrendous) I have to say that Andrew Garfield looks the part in the new pix they released for the Spiderman reboot. Also, I'm fangirling since Gwen Stacy, who I adore, is going to be in the movie as Peter's love interest. I hated how the previous movies basically merged Gwen's personality and history with Mary Jane's. Of course, if they were going to be totally accurate Peter would be chasing after Betty Brant in high school then going for Gwen in college after he got some confidence.

Anyway! Awesome costume pix away. Peter looks so angsty. I love it. I also love how he's... I dunno, scrawny? Skinny? Peter was always a rather slim but muscular superhero and this just looks so much like him.

Scrivener has a brand new update available for free for everyone who bought it after August 2010 and for just $25 if you got it before that. Also! For those who don't know of Scrivener and are Windows users, at long last they have a beta version of Scrivener for Windows.

It's honestly the best writing program I've ever used and has so many useful components from the outliner, the new collections option which allows you to organize character notes/first drafts/plots, and the import webpage option for research. There's also a neat new quick reference window which lets you open up external documents for additional research in a smaller window so you can remain in the writing program. I completely recommend this program for anyone who does any substantial amount of writing.

My brother is in law school (he graduates in May) and he was doubtful about the usefulness of this program until he downloaded it. Now he adores it because it makes organization so much simpler for his massive research papers.

This makes me love Jones Soda more than I already do. I really don't need more soda but I seriously am contemplating making a purchase. It's just too nerdily awesome. Also, apparently Jones brought back their Thanksgiving gravy soda. But it's combined with tofurkey now. Is it wrong that I love them solely for their many disgusting but hilarious flavors? Drinking the brussel sprout flavor was... an interesting experience to say the least.

[livejournal.com profile] oneiric22 linked me to an 8 bit game for The Room. Truly this is the most brilliant thing ever. To celebrate here's another awesome The Room macro

I'll be making another brief cameo on [livejournal.com profile] allaine77's radio show Femslash 4 Fans this Thursday, May 27th, at 9 pm central standard time for a reunion show since it's been a year since he started this neat project. If you want to listen to me inanely prattle about fandom and fanfic, most likely my halfway plotted out new Seeker fic or the recasting of Bianca on All My Children, or call in and talk to me or just like post questions in the little chat window and tune in.

It's really hot here. I miss winter.

ETA: OMG! I just ordered a pair of new glasses from Global Eyeglasses online and I love them. Not only were the frames ridiculously cheap the hugest part of my optical bill my insanely hardcore prescription was only $200! I know that still seems pricey for some but seriously? I'm used to popping out $400 on the prescription alone and the version of cheap nice frames I like at Lenscrafters is $70 so this...? So fabulous. I totally recommend ordering from them. You just need your prescription and pupillary distance to make it all right with the world.

ETA x 2: I just went on YourFonts.com and made this font based on my own handwriting after reading about the hilarity of Twihards doing the same thing for RPattz. Is this readable? It's sad how cool I find this. lol. So nerdy.

I'm leaving in a few minutes for the airport on my way to Wondercon in San Francisco. Filled with tons of nerdy excitement for all the cool stuff in the dealer room and much fun to be had with [livejournal.com profile] oneiric22 and I'm so much of a dork I packed my laptop just to do editing on my Whip It fanfic while stuck on my flight. Hopefully it won't be filled with a ton of errors.

Or should I say, more accurately, The Misfits MP3s with one or two ones from Jem & The Holograms and The Stingers along with a cover band, Spleen, doing many songs by The Misfits and others. Wow. That was a really long sentence. Anyway. MP3s of The Misfits, Jem, and The Stingers I have them. Along with super awesome punk covers of many of their songs by the band Spleen.
